El Monte Mayor Don McMillen has been elected president of the San Gabriel Valley Assn. of Cities. The organization encompasses 28 municipalities and focuses on their mutual concerns.

Nancy Langdon Jones has been elected president of the San Gabriel Valley chapter of the International Assn. of Financial Planners. Jones is a licensed real estate broker and a registered tax preparer.

Jon Pomeroy has been elected vice president of Pacific Water Quality Assn., a statewide trade organization of dealers, manufacturers and suppliers. He is a resident of Diamond Bar.

Monrovia resident David Harper is the new president of California Institute of Technology's alumni association. Harper has been with the Pasadena firm of James M. Montgomery since 1977.

John Gingrich has been named to the newly created position of dean of the University of La Verne's College of Arts and Sciences. He is a professor of religion and philosophy.
