The Rams put rookie linebacker Doug Bartlett on injured reserve with a hamstring injury and released cornerback Greg Williamson, reducing their roster to 70 players.

The team must trim the roster to 60 today and to 45 by Sept. 7.

Bartlett was the team's fourth-round draft pick from Northern Illinois. Williamson was a free agent from Fresno State.
