INDUSTRY NOTES

September 02, 1987

Interactive Technologies Inc., a home security company based in North St. Paul, Minn., acquired a 37% interest in Linear in July through the acquisition of stock held by Chairman William Schanbacher and President Ted Farrell. Both men have since left the company.

Within two weeks, ITI will propose a tender offer or merger, under which remaining Linear shareholders will be paid the same cash price for their shares as was paid to Schanbacher and Farrell, a Linear spokesman said Tuesday.
