A baby sitter was arrested on suspicion of child endangerment for leaving a nearly 2-year-old child unattended in a car where temperatures soared to at least 120 degrees Wednesday. The infant, Jaime Lee of Glendale, was rescued by several people who saw her "sweating profusely and all red in the face," Glendale Police Sgt. Dean Durand said. The infant was treated for heat exhaustion and later released from a hospital. The baby sitter, Margit Hasel, 23, was arrested about an hour later when she returned to the car. Hasel, who told police she had been shopping, was released on $3,000 bail.
