Buck, Stork to Play in Volleyball League

Taft High graduates Craig Buck and Jeff Stork, members of the U.S. national volleyball team and former stars at Pepperdine, will compete in the Great Western Team Cup Volleyball League on Tuesday night at the Forum.

Karch Kiraly is the captain of Buck's team, the KLSX Spikers. Steve Timmons is the captain of Team Maui and Sons, of which Stork is a member.

Other team captains in the four-team league are Dusty Dvorak, a former U.S. national team member, and Singin Smith, the leading money winner on the professional beach tour this season.

The league plays two matches each Tuesday and Thursday. Each team will play six games in the season, which concludes Sept. 24.
