And in Arcadia, a Similar Complaint

September 10, 1987

I hope something can be done about the leaf blowers. The "gardeners" (using the name loosely) insist on blowing leaves and dirt in all directions. They never seem to end up with a pile of anything.

In our condo areas, they blow all over the driveway. All the dirt and leaves go into the garages, under the doors. Again, they do not end up with anything to carry away. My garage floor is full of cigarette butts, and I don't even smoke. The dust cloud the blowers cause also gets into our homes.

When I talked to someone at the Arcadia City Hall, the only concern at this time seems to be the noise level.

The only place I can see where the blowers would be practical is the parking lot at the Santa Anita Race Track.
