Following the Alabama-Penn State game, KCBS-TV Channel 2 will offer a string of sports-oriented programs: "Bruins-Trojans: Class of '87" at 8:30 p.m., "The John Robinson Show," hosted by Jim Lampley at 9 p.m., "1986 Los Angeles Rams: Armed and Dangerous" at 9:30, and "The Victor Awards" honoring the year's top athletes at 10 p.m..
With baseball's National League East race tightening, NBC will carry the St. Louis Cardinals-New York Mets clash at Shea Stadium today at 11:15 a.m. (4)(39).
On Sunday, the Dodgers and Atlanta Braves complete a series in Georgia starting at 11:05 a.m. on Channel 11 and WTBS.
In tennis, the U.S. Open wraps up with the women's finals and men's semifinals today (8 a.m.-4 p.m.) and the men's finals Sunday (1-4 p.m.) on (2)(8).
