Isn't There Someplace for Dodgers to Hide?

September 12, 1987

There has been a lot of talk about the Dodgers acquiring such notable players as Rickey Henderson, Phil Bradley, Mike Moore and Eddie Murray.

If the Dodgers could trade Mike Marshall, Pedro Guerrero, Ken Howell, and either Fernando Valenzuela or Orel Hershiser for some of these fine players, it could surely put them on top where they belong.

As few teams know, it's not via the minor leagues or via free agency, but rather intelligent and cunning trades that make winning organizations. The Mets, for one, will testify to this principle.
