Avalon : Film Credit Action Delayed

September 17, 1987

The City Council has postponed until Oct. 20 the second reading of a proposed ordinance that would require film and television production companies filming in Avalon to post a $5,000 deposit to guarantee that the city gets screen credit.

Councilman Gilbert Saldana asked for the delay after the state officials and movie and television groups complained about the proposal and asked for the delay to prepare presentations to the council.
