The Volvo/Los Angeles tennis tournament at UCLA's L.A. Tennis Center, which starts next Monday, has awarded wild-card spots to 15-year old Michael Chang of Placentia and Peter Lundgren of Sweden.

Chang, who won the national 18-and-under tournament in Kalamazoo, Mich., reached the second round of the U.S. Open. He was the youngest male player to win a match in the main draw in the Open.

Lundgren, ranked 39th in the world, reached the semifinals at Los Angeles last year and upset Wimbledon champion Pat Cash in the first round of the U.S. Open.
