Shelley Winters, Jon Voight, Carroll O'Connor, Melissa Gilbert, Tony Franciosa and Trini Lopez helped raise more than $4 million during the Chabad Organization's sixth annual "L'Chaim! To Life!" telethon earlier this week. The seven-hour telethon was broadcast in several cities nationwide on cable television and in Los Angeles on KHJ-TV Channel 9. Proceeds benefit the Jewish social service and educational network that offers programs to all religions on drug rehabilitation, homelessness and other social ills, spokesman Pete Latsis said. He said $4.15 million was pledged or donated during the show. Last year, the event netted $3.12 million.
