Kelly Painter, former girls' basketball coach at Marina and Ocean View high schools, has been named assistant women's basketball coach at Chapman College.
Painter, who replaces Paul Halpert, will assist Coach Paul Kahn.
Painter coached Ocean View to a Sunset League championship in 1984-85 and three playoff appearances. She has a combined record of 123-49 at Marina and Ocean View.
