October 02, 1987

A Pasadena dentist pleaded innocent Thursday to a charge of murdering his estranged wife in La Jolla.

Dr. Douglas Frank Dustin, 52, was ordered held without bail by San Diego Municipal Judge Raymond Edwards.

Dustin's attorney, John Mitchell, asked that a bail review be scheduled and Edwards set it for Oct. 20. A preliminary hearing was scheduled for Nov. 12.

Adelheid Dustin, 50, was found dead Sept. 13 outside her home with multiple gunshot wounds to her head and chest. The couple had been separated for about 18 months.
