Tejano, ridden by Jacinto Vasquez and part of the favored entry with Endurance, pulled away from Tsarbaby over the final furlong for a 4 3/4-length victory in the $172,200 Cowdin Stakes for 2-year-olds at Belmont Park.

Tejano ran the seven furlongs in 1:23 2/5 and paid $3.60. Tsarbaby finished second.
