MORNING REPORT

Tv & Video

October 08, 1987| Arts and entertainment reports from The Times, national and international news services and the nation's press

Some viewers of tonight's episode of ABC's "Sledge Hammer!" (8-8:30) might reach for the color adjustments if they don't pay attention, predicted a chuckling Alan Spencer, the show's executive producer. In a spoof on the movement to colorize black-and-white film classics, the final two-minute scene has been tinkered with, Spencer said, adding that a disclaimer to that effect precedes the last two minutes of the show. Spencer jokingly dubbed the segment "a moving tribute to the men that spend all these hours senselessly coloring movies. I'm paranoid about these people. They made Humphrey Bogart's coat the wrong color," he quipped.
