Rolling Hills Estates Wins Safety Award

October 08, 1987

Rolling Hills Estates will receive a pedestrian safety award from the Automobile Club of Southern California for having a low pedestrian injury rate during 1986 and no pedestrian fatalities for the ninth consecutive year. The city was compared with 798 other United States cities with populations of 5,000 to 10,000.

A citation from the club will be accepted Tuesday by Mayor Hugh Muller. It marks the 19th time in 20 years that the city has been recognized for pedestrian safety by the club.
