West Los Angeles : Cities Unite on Traffic Woes

October 08, 1987

The cities of West Hollywood, Beverly Hills and Los Angeles have formed a three-city traffic task force to solve traffic concerns in the area bounded by Beverly Drive, La Brea Avenue, Sunset and Olympic boulevards.

As one of its first projects the task force plans to apply to the state Fuel Efficient Traffic Signal Management program. The program provides assistance for coordination of traffic signal systems to reduce vehicle stops and delays, pollution, fuel consumption and to create a safer traffic system.
