Alicia Braverman scored her second goal with eight minutes left to lead UC Irvine to a 2-1 victory over Claremont-Mudd Thursday in a women's nonconference soccer match at Irvine.
Braverman scored midway through the first half and Irvine led, 1-0, at the half. Claremont-Mudd tied the score early in the second half before Braverman scored the game-winner on a penalty kick.
Robin Monico had one save in the first half, and Raquel Speers had two saves in the second half for Irvine (5-6-1).
