Late jazz drummer Buddy Rich will be feted Dec. 1 at the Universal Amphitheatre in a stellar tribute that is scheduled to include Frank Sinatra, Johnny Carson, Robin Williams, Jerry Lewis, Billy Crystal, Sammy Davis Jr., Mel Torme, Jack Jones and Sheila E. Event proceeds will go to UCLA's Buddy Rich Memorial Brain Tumor Research Foundation. Rich, known for his frenetic syncopated technique, died after suffering a seizure April 2.
