Third-Quarter Earnings Up at American Ecology

October 13, 1987

American Ecology's third quarter profit nearly doubled to $2 million, or 67 cents per share, on a 66% jump in revenue to $19.4 million for the period ended Sept. 30.

For the nine months period, the Agoura Hills waste disposal firm reported a 4% decline in net income to $2.5 million, or 84 cents per share, while revenue increased by 42% to $46.1 million, compared to the comparable period a year earlier.

The company attributed part of the increased revenue to its September, 1986, acquisition of Associated Technologies.
