Domestic volume of new corporate debt and equity issues rose 12.9% to $228 billion in the first nine months of 1987, compared to the same period a year earlier, a research firm said. The latest increase was slower than in 1986, when corporate new issue volume more than doubled for the full year, according to IDD Information Services Inc. Total debt financing volume rose 13.1% to $181 billion, while total volume of new common and preferred stock issues increased 12.7% to $46.2 billion, the report said.
