Reagan Sees Soviet Influence

October 14, 1987

If Reagan held regularly scheduled press conferences to keep the American people informed (as Presidents Kennedy and Johnson did), the press corps would have opportunities to ask our President pertinent questions. But since he does not, the journalists must take advantage of the very few times that they do see him to ask questions. They are just doing their jobs.
