Gordon Peterson, anchor on CBS' Washington outlet WUSA-TV, will assume hosting duties of a newly named "Agronsky & Company" talk show (seen in Los Angeles on KCET Channel 28 at 4:30 p.m. on Saturdays), which features top journalists discussing major news stories of the day. Jim Snyder, vice president of Post-Newsweek Stations Inc. and executive producer of the program, said the show will be renamed "Inside Washington" when Peterson takes over Jan. 2, 1988. After 18 years on the air, Martin Agronsky, host of the weekly Public Broadcasting Service show, has decided to call it quits. "It was a question of involvement and commitment, and I just didn't want to be committed like that anymore," said Agronsky, 72, who started his broadcasting career in 1940 as a war correspondent.
