Jessica McClure, the toddler who survived 58 hours in an abandoned water well in Midland, Tex., ate heartily and underwent hyperbaric oxygen treatments that left her toes "pinker," a hospital spokeswoman said. The 18-month-old, who doctors say may lose her right foot because its circulation was cut off while she was trapped in the well, ate a big breakfast after a 90-minute session in a hyperbaric oxygen chamber to speed healing of tissues, Midland Memorial Hospital spokeswoman Sue Riston said. Doctors have said they remain optimistic about saving the foot, but will not make that decision until later in the week.
