October 23, 1987|United Press International

SAN ANTONIO — A convicted burglar told the judge seven was his unlucky number, so the judge gave him an eight-year prison term.

David Gaitan, 22, initially was sentenced Thursday to seven years in prison for a June 23 burglary. "He said seven was an unlucky number and asked for eight," presiding state District Judge David Berchelmann explained. The judge obliged.
