Bulgaria set a world record in the women's air rifle team competition in the final events of fifth Airgun World Championship and Junior World Cup at Budapest, Hungary.

Vesela Lecheva, Nonka Matova and Krassira Doncheva fired 1,177 rounds to break the record of 1,170 set by West Germany in 1986.

The United States set a junior air rifle world record with 1,164 rounds. The record of 1,160 was established by West Germany in 1985.
