Chase Corp. of New Zealand disclosed that it boosted its stake in Standard Brands Paints to 6.7% and said it remains interested in acquiring the Torrance-based do-it-yourself home decorator chain. Chase Corp. said it purchased 611,000 shares between Sept. 2 and Oct. 26 at prices from $17.075 to $29.587.
