Boxing promoter Bob Arum predicted that either Sugar Ray Leonard or Marvin Hagler would come out of retirement to fight new World Boxing Council middleweight champion Thomas Hearns.

"I am absolutely convinced that by the end of November, one or the other will decide to come back," Arum said. "The question is, who wants to stick his neck out first, Marvin or Ray. I would like to see two huge, huge bouts in 1988. Then all three fighters and this promoter can retire."

Hearns called for Hagler and Leonard to return against him, after stopping Juan Roldan in four rounds Thursday night to win the vacant WBC title.
