I am fed up with the continued criticism of KNBC-TV's live coverage of last month's earthquake, in particular the reaction of Kent Shocknek and Christopher Nance, who went under their desks. This was most likely the safest and sanest thing they could have done in the situation, especially with the large studio lights swaying above their heads! How can anyone criticize and call those actions "unprofessional journalism" (Viewers' Views, Oct. 18)? Those people were as frightened as the rest of us, the difference being they were not afraid to show it. I applaud them for their honesty.
