November 01, 1987

Circuit City Stores Inc., based in Richmond, Va., has opened its new western corporate offices and a major automated warehouse in City of Industry.

The $9-million project, on a 13-acre site at Lemon Avenue and Currier Road, consists of a two-story 40,000-square-foot office building, plus a 250,000-square-foot warehouse.

Former western offices at 5555 E. Olympic Blvd. in City of Commerce will become service headquarters for the home electronics and appliances chain. In a related expansion move, Circuit City has moved into a 150,000-square-foot warehouse at Nogales Street and San Jose Avenue in Commerce.
