British Airways PLC will contest a lawsuit filed by American Airlines, which alleges that the carrier acted unfairly to exclude American's Sabre computerized reservation system from the British market. In the suit filed in Britain's High Court and in a complaint to the European Community, American said British Airways had refused to give it permission to allow travel agents who use Sabre to issue tickets in Britain for BA flights. Sabre is the world's largest reservation system, with about 38% of the market.
