Salesian 6, Bell-Jeff 0--Backup quarterback Manual Gomez threw a 32-yard touchdown pass to Frank Llorens as time expired to give Salesian the Santa Fe League victory at Burroughs High.

Bell-Jeff (5-3-1, 2-3) could not capitalize on its offensive opportunities. The Guards were stopped at the Salesian 19-yard line in the third quarter when defensive back Mike SiFuentes intercepted quarterback Bob Tumas' pass.

Bell-Jeff turned the ball over on another drive in the second quarter when Tumas fumbled the center snap at the Salesian 25.

Running back Phil Reynolds rushed for 66 yards in 13 carries for Bell-Jeff. Salesian is 3-4-2 overall, 2-3-1 in the league play.
