November 10, 1987|Associated Press

NEW YORK — A pregnant Transit Authority clerk was pushed onto the subway tracks Monday morning but managed to avoid being hit by crawling under the platform, a transit spokesman said.

He said that a man pushed her, apparently without provocation, and police made an arrest after speaking with a witness. The woman suffered cuts and bruises.
