Robert W. Milk, an executive vice president of Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., has been named president and chief executive of the company's Celeron Corp. subsidiary.
The company said Carl S. Quinn will continue as chairman of Celeron until he takes early retirement Jan. 1. He has served as chairman and chief executive of Celeron since October, 1986.
Milk will move immediately to Celeron's Houston headquarters "to manage this more than $1-billion asset which includes the All American Pipeline and other facilities," Goodyear Chairman Robert E. Mercer said in a statement.
Milk, 61, will oversee completion of the final leg of the crude oil pipeline, which extends from California to Texas, he said.
Since 1985, Milk has been executive vice president-worldwide materials management for Goodyear.
His duties at Goodyear are to be assumed by Lee N. Fiedler, vice president-purchasing, and Stanley C. Rose, vice president-merchandise distribution and control, the company said.
