Spanish tenor Jose Carreras received a bone-marrow transplant in Seattle on Monday to treat his leukemia and was reported to be doing "real well" after the 45-minute procedure. The internationally known singer received the transplant after undergoing radiation treatment and chemotherapy last week at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. He was admitted to the center Nov. 8. He learned that he has leukemia in July in Paris, where he was filming "La Boheme."
