Wide receiver Hassan Jones of the Minnesota Vikings was arrested for drunk driving after he failed a breath test late Sunday night.
Jones, 23, was found alone in a parked car, apparently asleep, in a parking lot in Bloomington, Minn. The motor was running and the lights were on. The arrest came several hours after the Vikings had defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
"An apology is in order," Jones said. "I went a little bit past my limit and, realizing that, I pulled off to the side of the road."
Jones is scheduled to appear in Hennepin County Court in Southdale on Nov. 24. He faces up to 90 days in jail and a $700 fine.
