Craig Stadler shot a par 72 to win Japan's richest golf tournament, the $1.4 million Dunlop Phoenix golf tournament at Miyazaki. Scott Hoch of Orlando, Fla., who bogeyed the 17th hole, finished one shot back. Stadler earned $186,700.

At Key Biscayne, Fla., Gene Littler shot a two-under-par 69 en route to a three-stroke victory over Orville Moody in the inaugural $300,000 Gus Machado Senior tournament.
