Anton Stastny scored a power-play goal at 2:44 of overtime Monday night to lift Quebec to a 4-3 victory over the Montreal Canadiens, snapping the Nordiques' four-game winless streak.
The loss was the Canadiens' first in their last five games as their record against Adams Division teams dropped to 1-4-3. They are 13-6-5 overall.
Montreal's Claude Lemieux scored a power-play goal with 48 seconds left in regulation to tie the score, 3-3, but Stastny converted a rebound to give the Nordiques the victory.
Quebec's Michel Goulet gave Quebec a 3-2 lead at 7:00 of the third period on a power play, deflecting a shot that beat goalie Patrick Roy to the stick side. Rookie Jason Lafreniere tied the score, 2-2, at 2:56 when Goulet fed him a pass in the slot.
