Gusty desert winds should be the only thing to mar an otherwise pleasant Thanksgiving Day, forecasters said Wednesday.
The National Weather Service said north-to-northeast winds of up to 40 m.p.h. are expected, prompting the issuance of wind advisories for local passes and canyons.
The dry Santa Ana gusts, caused by a high-pressure area over Nevada, should decrease by Friday, forecasters added.
Daytime high temperatures for today and Friday should be in the mid to upper 70s, with overnight lows near 50.
Wednesday's high at the Los Angeles Civic Center was 70 after an overnight low of 50. Relative humidity ranged from 74% to 23%.
