BALTIMORE — Saudi Arabian Princess Shoaa Al-Farhan is being treated for third-degree burns to 93% of her body and began undergoing skin grafts today, hospital officials said.
The princess, 43, a cousin of the late King Faisal, was burned at her home in Saudi Arabia on Nov. 17 when a gas fire ignited her clothes. She arrived Wednesday by private jet and was taken to the Baltimore Regional Burn Center.
