Investigators Seeking to Identify Skeleton

December 02, 1987

Investigators Tuesday were attempting to determine the cause of death and identify skeletal remains found near the Golden State Freeway, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department reported.

A skull and bones were discovered about 6 p.m. Monday near the Pyramid Reservoir north of Castaic Lake, and investigators searched the area again on Tuesday, Deputy Van Mosley said. He did not know if any additional remains were found.

Deputies said the remains were located by a canine unit after the department was called by a fisherman who said he stumbled across some of the bones.
