Searchers recovered two more bodies from the Indian Ocean off Mauritius and continued to look for the flight recorder from a South African Boeing 747 that crashed Saturday. Authorities now have recovered the bodies of 11 of the 160 people on board. In Johannesburg, Gert van der Veer, chief executive of the state-owned South African Airways, said that the pilot, Capt. D.J. Uys, was in contact with the Mauritius control tower through 14 minutes of a midair emergency that preceded the crash. He said Uys wanted emergency landing arrangements.
