The Blind Children's Learning Center was awarded $50,000 Wednesday by Amigos de los Ninos, a La Habra-based business group.
Amigos de los Ninos awards the money annually to charities for handicapped children. The Santa Ana center also received the award three years ago, said Many Solana of Laguna Niguel, a member of the Amigos board of directors.
The money was raised at the Amigos' seventh annual Rick Burleson Golf Tournament, played last month at the Friendly Hills Country Club in Whittier, Solana said.
The center has a preschool for 31 blind children 6 months to 6 years old, and it runs two countywide programs designed to help families and teachers learn how to work with blind children.
