Pollard Leads Torrey Pines to Rout

Neil Pollard, Torrey Pines' 7-foot center, scored 20 points and had 15 rebounds to lead the Falcons to a 104-53 victory over Imperial Saturday in the Torrey Pines Tournament.

Kevin Flaffegan had 19 points and 12 rebounds and Courtie Miller had 13 points and 10 rebounds for Torrey Pines (2-0). The Falcons outrebounded Imperial, 67-28.

In other Torrey Pines Tournament games:

Ramona 65, Fallbrook 61--Jason McClenaghan scored 16 of his 25 points in the second half as Ramona rallied. Ramona (2-1) trailed by seven at the half and five after three quarters but outscored Fallbrook, 17-8, in the fourth quarter. Chad Nelson had 14 points for Ramona and Tony Newman added 12. For Fallbrook (2-1), Mike West scored 26 points and Todd Adamson had 13.

Mission Bay 73, Rancho Buena Vista 56--Keith Henderson scored 15 points to lead four players in double figures at Rancho Buena Vista. Mike Endsley scored 14 points, Keith Berkley 12 and Pete Wilson 11 for Mission Bay (2-1), which led at the half, 44-21. Todd Fellars led Rancho Buena Vista with 13 points and Dave Roberts had 10.

GIRLS Santana Tournament

Orange Glen 53, Patrick Henry 43--Laura Hughes scored 28 points and Kelly Duschek added 11 points to lead Orange Glen in the third-place game at Santana.
