Celestial Seasonings is being sold by Kraft Inc. to soup maker Thomas J. Lipton Inc. for an undisclosed price. Kraft bought the Boulder, Colo., company several years ago for $14 million. Lipton is based in Englewood Cliffs, N.J., and manufactures a variety of well-known foods besides soup, including brands such as Lawry's, Wish-Bone, Wyler's, Knox, Flavor Tree, Good Humor and Sunkist. Celestial is an herbal tea company founded more than 15 years ago by a group of college students who made teas from plants they foraged in the Rocky Mountains.
