Garcia scored six minutes later to clinch the victory.
Goalie Tom Nieto made three saves for the Friars.
In other nonleague games:
Estancia 3, Brea-Olinda 0--The Wildcats (2-2-1) were shut out for the second straight game as Estancia goalie Peewee Hernandez made five saves at Brea.
"We just can't seem to generate any offense," said Brea Coach Manny Toledo, whose team was shut out, 5-0, by Mater Dei on Saturday. "We have never allowed five goals in back-to-back games until now. This is our fifth game in seven days, and they've all been tough ones, but that's no excuse."
