Marymount volleyball player Kristin Klein, a senior middle blocker, was named to the All-CIF-Southern Section 4-A first team and teammate Heather Dalley, a senior outside hitter, to the second team. Marymount senior setter Kelly Martin received honorable mention.

Danielle Laff of Windward was selected for the Small Schools Division first team and teammate Laurie Hill is on the second team.

All-Ocean League teams have been selected in water polo and in girls tennis and volleyball.

In water polo, Santa Monica High senior Yuri Brezinger and Mira Costa senior John Kim were named league co-players of the year.

First-team selections in water polo included Santa Monica senior Serge Kogan and junior teammates Matt Flanders (goalie) and Brian Timmerman, Culver City senior Charles Hyun and Beverly Hills seniors Eric Sabre and David Lawson.

Those named to the water polo second team included Culver City junior Jae Baik, Santa Monica seniors Morgan Snyder and Atis Blakis, Santa Monica junior Adam Blakis and Beverly Hills senior David Magedman.

In tennis, Courtney Rose of Beverly Hills was named the top singles player and teammate Talia Itzhaki finished second. In doubles, the Beverly Hills team of Lainie Kartoon and Jill Goldberg were named No. 1.

All-league, second-team tennis players included Mara Greensweig and Erin Lotz of Beverly Hills, Snezana Bozunovich of Culver City and Jennifer Laurie of Santa Monica.

First-team selections in volleyball included senior outside hitter Leilani Albano and senior middle blocker Erin McBreen, both of Culver City, and Santa Monica senior middle blocker Megan Forsyth.

Those named to the second team included junior middle blocker Melissa Punch and senior setter Yvonne Kainoa, both of Culver City, and Beverly Hills junior middle blocker Nanette Furlong of Beverly Hills.

Randy Tico and Dick Schaefer shot a combined score of 68 to win the Penmar Men's Golf Club's pairs tournament. Tying for second at 72 were the teams of Dick Park-Dick Conti, Vinnie Heid-Al Constantineau and Jay Pittman-B. Adelman.
