Local News in Brief : Youth Counseling Funds

December 11, 1987

Youth counseling programs in two beach cities have received financial support from the South Bay Hospital District, which provides funds for public health programs.

A grant of $45,000 went to Project Touch in Hermosa Beach, and South Bay Juvenile Diversion in Redondo Beach received $30,000. Both provide individual and group counseling to young people referred by families, school districts and the police.

The district board also awarded $18,720 to the South Bay Center for Counseling for scholarships for four children at the center's preschool.
