Sears, Roebuck & Co. said it has reached an agreement to acquire Pinstripes Petites, a Minneapolis-based specialty store chain for an undisclosed price. . . . Dallas-based Southland Corp.'s founding family completed its $4.9-billion acquisition of the company, ending their six-month effort to take the world's largest convenience store chain private. . . . New York-based Irving Bank Corp. rejected a revised $1.25-billion hostile takeover bid from the Bank of New York, saying that the new proposal was even worse for its shareholders than the original offer. . . . Cineplex Odeon Corp., Toronto, said it reached agreement to acquire Circle Theatre Chain in Washington for $45 million.
