MORNING REPORT

Valerie Coleman and Chris Conangla have been picked to anchor the new Channel 2 News at Noon on KCBS-TV when it debuts Jan. 4. Coleman joined the station in 1986 as a general assignment reporter and, since July, has served as anchor of the station's early Sunday news. Conangla signed on in September as anchor of the station's 6 p.m. newscast, a post he will continue to hold. Also announced: Maclovio Perez will serve as the noon broadcast's weather reporter, and Dr. Howard Torman will contribute reports on health and medicine.
